Dale Emge, President, Permian Plastics, LLC. to participate in Eastman Chemical Company Panel of Experts at Medical Design & Manufacturing (MD&W) West trade show.
When seeking an expert to represent a US manufacturer of plastic injection applications using their “Tritan™ copolyester, Eastman Chemical Company turned to O’Fallon, Missouri, based Permian Plastics.
The company has been working with Eastman Tritan™ copolyester since 2010 and, in 2013, began molding medical devices using Tritan™ as an alternative to materials such as polycarbonate (PC), a material which is subject to future regulatory changes related to materials of concern, such as BPA.
Dale Emge, President, Permian Plastics was selected from among Eastman’s customers who are using the company’s Tritan™ material in their manufacturing process to participate in a panel of experts at the Medical Design & Manufacturing (MD&W) trade show in Anaheim, California, February 11- 13, 2014 as part of Eastman’s introduction of their new Tritan™ Technical Information Center. Trade Show attendees will be among the first to test drive the medical market portion of Eastman’s new site.
According to Emge, “I consider Eastman Chemical Company’s Tritan™ copolyester material to be the best replacement for polycarbonate and I am honored to have been selected to participate in this panel to discuss how we are using Tritan™ to manufacture molds for our medical device clients”.
